Windows ME (Millenium Edition) Setup Directions

      Click on Start

    Go to Settings

    Click on Dial-Up Networking

    Double click on Make a New Connection or click on Next

    Enter the Area code if asked

    Enter Kiva under Type a name for the Computer you are dialing

    Make sure that there is a modem under Select a Device

    Click Next

    Enter the Telephone number for the Kiva Dial-up service in the your area

    Click Finish

    Right click on the Kiva Icon and select Properties

    Clear the Use area code and Dialing Properties check box

    Click on the Networking Tab

    Make sure that PPP:Internet, Windows 2000/NT, Windows ME is the type of Dial-Up Server

    Under advanced options clear Enable software compression box

    Leave Record a log file for this connection clear

    Under Allowed network protocols only TCP/IP should be checked

    Click on TCP/IP Settings button

    Make sure that Server assigned IP address is selected

    Select Specify name server addresses

    Hit the Tab key

    For Primary DNS enter 216.9.137.1

    Hit the Tab key

    For Secondary DNS enter 216.9.137.100

    Clear the Use IP header compression box

    Leave Use default gateway on remote network selected

    Click OK

    Click OK

    Right Click on Kiva

    Select Create Shortcut

    Click on Yes
