1. To
log into your egixmail inbox, log onto the
internet and enter www.egix.com
This will take you to the the eGIX website where you will check your voice and fax messages.
2. Mouse over "Other Services" and click on “Email Login”.
3. You will move to the next screen with three boxes
· Enter your user name in the top box (where it says Email address)… low case letters with no spaces
·
The second
box has a drop down arrow…
click
on it to egixmail.com
· The third box is for your email passcode (which must be at least 5 characters.) If the application received was not easily legible or had only a four digit passcode, our programmers used your seven digit voice mail number as a passcode
4. Once
you have filled in the three boxes,
click on Login
5. You will be at your personal home page. In the upper left hand corner you will see how many emails you have. To view your emails click on Inbox
You will see your emails, fax mails, and voice mail messages
You will first have to download the SF player to listen to the Voicemail messages, when you first log in just click on the download center link and you will see the download link for the sfplayer.
· To hear voice mail messages click on the message, and click on the blue link, which brings up the message and downloads it so you can hear it…
· To see fax messages, click on the fax message and click on the blue link. This will download the fax attachment so you can see it and print it out, and/or save it to your computer hard drive…
· Email messages are handled just like any other email messages

or www.alternatiff.com
To
Delete Messages:
Click on the empty box next to any message you wish to delete. You can click on all messages on the page by clicking just above the row of empty boxes that says check all. Once you have checked the messages you wish to delete, then go to the drop down arrow of the box that says Select Folder. Drop down to deleted, then click on the blue box labeled move to folder.
At this time all messages will be delivered to the delete folder. AT THIS POINT THEY ARE NOT PERMANTLY DELETED. To delete all messages from your delete folder, make sure the folder drop down box says deleted. Then click on Folders, to the left of the screen below Address Book. Your deleted folder will appear and click on Empty.
THIS WILL PERMANTLY DELETE THE EMAIL.
*You will want to clean out the deleted items folder frequently, so your email inbox does not fill up. If your email inbox reaches capacity, it will no longer accept messages, so you will not receive your most recent copies of voice and fax messages.
Your voicemail box and your email inbox are NOT synchronized. Meaning if you delete a message via telephone from your voicemail, you will still have a copy of it in your email inbox. Vice versa, if you delete an email via computer from your inbox, it will NOT be deleted from your voicemail.
To Save
Messages:
It
is possible to save voice mail messages, fax documents and emails to
the hard
drive of your computer. This enables
you to take these messages out of your email inbox, and save them
permanently
to your hard drive. You may want to
save an email, a voice mail message and fax document to a customer
file, or a
diskette and put it in the customer folder in your desk.. Simply
click on the email, fax or voice
mail message to open it and click on file
at the top of your screen. Then
click on save as, and decide where you
wish to save that specific message. Once
it is saved you may want to delete it from your email inbox as stated
above.
Note:
If you want to be able to listen to Voicemail messages you will need to download the sf player. To do that you will go to www.egix.com and log in with your egixmail username and password. Click on the download center. You will see a link to download the sf player. Then download it.
For faxes, you may use adobe, image preview. If you don’t have a fax program a good one to use would be irfanview. You can download that at www.irfanview.com.
